Investigation ongoing as police seek more information on potential suspects
On the afternoon of yesterday, a shooting in Oosterhout resulted in the deaths of two men, both aged 32, and left a 25-year-old man critically injured.
All three individuals were residents of Oosterhout.
The deceased have been identified as a Turkish and a Moroccan Dutch national, as confirmed by local mosques frequented by the victims.
The shooting occurred around 16:00 local time, where responding officers discovered two severely injured men inside a vehicle.
Despite medical assistance, one of these men succumbed to his injuries.
Near the vehicle, law enforcement officials found approximately ten spent bullet casings.
Shortly after the initial incident, a frontal collision involving two other vehicles occurred in the vicinity.
One of the occupants of these vehicles was later discovered to have sustained gunshot wounds and tragically died at the scene.

A vehicle associated with the suspects was later located in the nearby area of Teteringen.
Details surrounding the motive for the shooting remain scarce.
Although local residents speculate that it may be related to a drug conflict, law enforcement officials have not confirmed this theory.
The police are actively engaging with community members and gathering testimonies from witnesses to build a clearer picture of the events.
The incident occurred in a neighborhood where the victims’ families reside, creating a tense and emotional atmosphere.
Oosterhout's mayor, Gerdo van Grootheest, has urged residents to maintain calm as the investigation unfolds.
