Dutch Regulator Fines Uber €825 Million Over Automated Driver Account Suspensions

The Dutch Data Protection Authority imposed one of the largest GDPR penalties by a European privacy regulator after finding that Uber used automated systems to suspend European drivers without adequate human oversight or effective appeal mechanisms.
