Dutch Parliament Recognizes Crimean Tatar Deportation as Genocide
Resolution acknowledges Soviet-era atrocity
The Dutch parliament has officially recognized the 1944 deportation of Crimean Tatars by Soviet authorities as an act of genocide, joining a growing list of countries in condemning the forced removal of around 200,000 Tatars to Central Asia during World War II and calling for global acknowledgment of the historic injustice.
