Amsterdam startup Brineworks has secured €5 million in funding to expand its electrolysis technology designed to decarbonize aviation and maritime shipping.

Led by CEO Gudfinnur Sveinsson, the company plans to scale operations and accelerate research into sustainable fuel alternatives.

Investors praised the venture as a significant step toward reducing emissions in two of the world’s most carbon-intensive industries.
