Tulsi Gabbard Unveils Evidence Alleging Political Manipulation of Intelligence During Trump Administration

Declassified documents claim to prove that officials politicized intelligence assessments following the 2016 election.
On Friday, Tulsi Gabbard, a U.S. Representative and Director of National Intelligence (DNI), presented what she termed 'overwhelming evidence' suggesting that key members of President Barack Obama's national security team engaged in the manufacturing and politicization of intelligence after Donald Trump’s election in 2016.

The newly declassified file surfaced amid ongoing discussions surrounding the allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

The investigation into these allegations, which spanned several years, ultimately did not establish proof of collusion, leading to increased scrutiny regarding the initiation of the probe and the conduct of federal agencies in the matter.

Gabbard's released statement referenced that the assessment relied on information that was deemed as artificially constructed.

Central to this debate is the Steele Dossier, a document commissioned privately that alleged connections between Trump and Russian operatives, which remains unverified.

According to the declassified material, there was no evidence indicating that Trump was functioning as a Russian asset during the campaign.

Moreover, it detailed findings that there was no intelligence supporting claims that Russia aimed to influence the election through cyber means or by altering the actual vote tally.

This new release adds another layer to the ongoing national conversation regarding the integrity and impartiality of intelligence assessments in politically charged environments.
