A court in Amsterdam has sentenced Vuriano V. to 20 months in prison for the serious assault of reality television star Tamara Elbaz.

The sentence consists of 15 months of incarceration, with an additional 5 months suspended.

The Public Prosecution Service had requested a more severe punishment of 30 months, comprising 24 months of actual imprisonment alongside 6 months suspended.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered V. to pay compensation to Elbaz for the damages incurred as a result of the incident.

Elbaz, known for her appearances in Dutch reality shows, was reportedly assaulted in an incident that garnered significant media attention in the Netherlands.
