Hamas Submits Response to U.S. Ceasefire Proposal in Gaza Strip

U.S. Special Envoy Expresses Discontent Over Hamas' Reaction to Peace Plan
In Gaza City, the militant group Hamas has formally submitted a response to the mediators regarding the United States' proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Although the specific contents of Hamas' response have not been disclosed, the group did not outright reject the plan in its statement on Telegram.

This development follows significant international attention on the ongoing conflict in the region.

U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has expressed his dissatisfaction with Hamas' reply, indicating that the proposal needs to be accepted for progress to be made.

The situation remains tense as various stakeholders continue to seek a resolution to the hostilities that have afflicted the Gaza Strip, raising concerns over humanitarian conditions in the area.
