The Dutch Senate has adopted the Cyberbeveiligingswet and the Wet weerbaarheid kritieke entiteiten, bringing European Union cybersecurity and critical infrastructure rules into national law. The new legislation introduces stricter risk management, incident reporting, and resilience requirements for essential sectors, with enforcement beginning in mid-August.
