Taylor Swift Announces Engagement to NFL Star Travis Kelce

‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,’ pop icon Taylor Swift revealed in a playful announcement of her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift has announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.

The couple, together for nearly two years, shared the happy news via a joint Instagram post featuring intimate photos of the proposal in a garden setting.

Swift captioned the post with a wink—“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Fans instantly lit up the internet, with the post garnering over two million likes in under ten minutes.

Kelce proposed in a scenic garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, about two weeks before the announcement.

He surprised Swift while casually dressed in khaki shorts, embracing the down-to-earth spirit captured in the now-iconic caption.

He collaborated with Artifex Fine Jewelry to design Swift’s engagement ring—a bezel-set old mine-cut diamond set in yellow gold, echoing a vintage yet elegant style.

Their engagement stirred widespread delight.

The pair, already dubbed a cultural “supercouple,” further cemented their status on social media.

Even President Donald Trump offered an uncharacteristic, warm message: “I wish them a lot of luck… he’s a great guy, she’s a terrific person.”

Swift and Kelce first crossed paths when he attended her Eras Tour and cheekily tried to give her a friendship bracelet.

That bold move eventually blossomed into romance—Swift has credited her tour and Kelce’s charm with bringing them together in a story she called “wild, but it worked.”

Swift is also wrapping up her next album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,' due October 3, while Kelce continues his triumphant NFL career.

Their engagement marks a high-profile milestone in a love story that has captured fans across music, sports, and pop culture.
