Dutch Banks Gain Authority to Freeze Suspicious Transactions for Up to Five Days
New financial rules allow banks to block transactions for as long as five days at the request of the Financial Intelligence Unit, giving authorities additional time to investigate suspected money laundering or terrorist financing and seize funds when necessary.
