The Port of Rotterdam Authority has initiated the next phase of a multi-billion euro infrastructure expansion designed to dramatically increase terminal capacity for green hydrogen, liquid organic hydrogen carriers, and sustainable aviation fuels. The massive engineering project aims to fundamentally transform Europe’s largest maritime logistics hub into the primary green energy import gateway for the heavily industrialized regions of northwestern Europe.
