Effective May 14, Rabobank will lower interest rates on savings and investment accounts, following similar moves by major banks.
Rabobank has announced a decrease in the interest rates for its savings and investment accounts, set to take effect on May 14. This follows recent decisions by other major banks in the Netherlands, including ABN Amro and ING, to lower their rates.
For savings accounts holding up to €20,000, the interest rate will drop from 1.7% to 1.5%.
Customers with larger savings will see their interest rates reduced further; those with amounts exceeding €20,000 will experience a decline to rates of either 1.4% or 1.3%.
This adjustment comes amid a broader trend in the banking sector where financial institutions are responding to changing economic conditions and pressures on interest rates.
