Holland Country Club's Transformation into Public Park Progresses
Former golf course repurposed for community recreation
The former Holland Country Club in Michigan, which closed in 2009 due to declining membership, is undergoing a transformation into a public park.
Ottawa County acquired the 122-acre property and, with the aid of a $750,000 Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant, has been restoring portions of the land to its natural state.
The redevelopment aims to provide residents with recreational opportunities while preserving the area's natural beauty.
