Dutch company GIGA Storage has unveiled Giraffe, Amsterdam’s largest energy storage project to date, designed to accelerate the city’s renewable energy transition.

The high-capacity system will store surplus electricity from wind and solar sources, providing a critical buffer to stabilize the national power grid.

Energy experts say the project marks a major step toward achieving the Netherlands’ carbon-neutral goals.
