European Ports Press EU to Revise Maritime Emissions Trading Rules

European port operators have called on the European Commission to overhaul the maritime component of the EU Emissions Trading System, warning that current rules risk diverting shipping activity to non-European ports and weakening the competitiveness of major hubs such as Rotterdam.
