Dutch Regulator Fines Uber €825 Million Over Driver Data Transfers to US

The Dutch Data Protection Authority imposed an €825 million penalty on Uber for transferring European drivers’ personal data to servers in the United States without adequate safeguards, marking one of the largest fines under the European Union’s data-protection rules.
