A report by CBRE and Het Financieele Dagblad says institutional investors and private landlords are increasingly selling rental properties outside the Netherlands' largest cities. The trend, known as uitponden, is reducing the supply of private rental homes for middle-income households as developers also hold back on new construction in provincial markets.
