Dutch Housing Shortage Deepens as Landlords Exit the Rental Market

A record fifty-six thousand seven hundred homes were listed for sale during the second quarter as private landlords reduced their rental portfolios following tighter rent controls and higher taxes. At the same time, unregulated rents continued to climb while the national housing shortage widened to an estimated four hundred ten thousand homes.
