Cyclist Fatally Struck by Car in Rotterdam; Driver Arrested
A 57-year-old woman dies following a collision with a vehicle, leading to the arrest of the 20-year-old driver.
A tragic incident occurred in Rotterdam yesterday when a 57-year-old woman from Bergschenhoek was fatally struck by a car while cycling.
The collision took place around 5:20 PM at Schieplein, a busy traffic junction in the northern part of the city.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene but were unable to save the victim, who succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man from Rotterdam, was taken into custody following the incident.
Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
